Beta reading

I'm beta reading for a fellow author at the moment. He has written a novel for the young adult market. Reading his work adds to the insecurities I have about my own work. Writing is hard. Finding people to read your work is harder.

    I find every time I read another person's work there are things I can learn from them. Even in child's writing can unearth a different way of story telling that makes me think I will never be able to do that. However, it's how we learn mimickery with a twist.
